The Canadian Animal Massage and Body workers Association (CAMBA) was founded in May 2007 with two major goals in mind: the first to take advantage of the more affordable premiums of a group rate for Errors and Omissions (aka: malpractice) insurance, the second was in recognizing the benefits of networking with like-minded associates in the fledgling industry of complementary animal services.
CAMBA has formed a successful relationship with Elliots Special Risks LP, their "Complementary Medical Practitioners" application and a brochure outlining commercial general liability is available on this website.
The membership of CAMBA's association is divided into three categories:
Practicing
Non-practicing
Student
The membership represents practitioners who provide a wide range of complementary health care services (we are not limited to only those who provide massage). Membership is limited however to the areas of alternative service listed by Elliots; some aspects of complementary care are not yet covered by Elliots, check back for revisions / opportunities as we get them.
The Canadian Animal Massage and Bodyworkers Association's mission is to "keep animals in good hands" (as depicted by our logo) by coming together with other qualified practitioners (those who have completed programs in order to prove knowledge, understanding and competency) in order to encourage and maintain a high standard of business practice within this growing industry.
We strive to provide and update a registry of certified practitioners on this website which we hope will help to raise public awareness of the importance of seeking out the assistance of a fully trained, qualified specialist for your animals.
